Zhang Xing Chan, a singer-songwriter from Wuhan, China, shot to fame with her 2024 debut album *No, no!*, named after her nickname “Nono.” Released just before her 25th birthday, *No, no!*—which she completed entirely on her own, from performance to mastering—is a masterpiece that blends chaos and delicacy with an unpredictable sound that traverses diverse genres. It spread rapidly through word of mouth among listeners and became a hot topic online, transcending China’s indie scene.
