Billyrrom is a six-piece band from Machida City, Tokyo. Drawing primarily from DISCO, SOUL, and FUNK, they create a one-of-a-kind sound. The band’s name was inspired by their admiration for Bill Evans’ “spirit of staying true to one’s convictions” and their desire to embrace the “mobility” of the Romani people—nomads who share their music from various places. Their true value is proven through their live performances. Their headlining shows sell out every year, and they have performed at major domestic festivals such as FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL and SUMMER SONIC. Furthermore, they have participated in overseas festivals and events in Taipei, Taichung, South Korea, Xiamen, Shanghai, Indonesia, and Thailand, expanding their reach globally. In 2026, they will hold their first Asian solo tour, visiting Osaka, Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, and Taipei. Additionally, that same year, they announced a global partnership agreement with Universal Music, accelerating their expansion on a worldwide scale. They have also garnered high acclaim both domestically and internationally, including selection for “Fender NEXT”—where 25 acts are chosen from over 1,000 worldwide— China’s NetEase Cloud Music “New Voice of the Year” award, Spotify’s “RADAR: Early Noise 2025,” and the “TOKYO ALTER MUSIC AWARD 25” Best Alter Artists award. Nine of their music videos have surpassed one million views, and they have ranked in the Top 10 on Spotify’s Viral Charts in Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Vietnam, while also being featured in major playlists across nine Asian countries and regions. Billyrrom continues to expand while blazing a trail into a new era. Their evolution is still only just beginning.
